Closed Public Consultation on Competition in Virtual Worlds and Generative AI

On 11 March 2024, the European Commission closed a public consultation on competition in the realms of virtual worlds and generative artificial intelligence (AI). The Commission has invited all interested stakeholders to share their experiences and provide feedback on the level of competition in these emerging markets. The aim of the call for contributions is to identify potential competition issues related to both virtual worlds and generative AI, including on questions of potential monetisation of virtual worlds and generative AI and the role of data for AI.
