Saudi Arabia: Adopted Guide on Generative AI by Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA)

On 20 December 2023, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) adopted a guide on generative artificial intelligence (AI). The guide provides a comprehensive review of generative AI, including its components, use cases, benefits, adoption methods, and impact on various digital applications and critical sector services. The guide also outlines the steps to develop a generative AI model and the basic pillars for adopting generative AI. This initiative is part of SDAIA's efforts to raise awareness about the significance of generative AI and aligns with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which aims to position Saudi Arabia among the leading countries in the field of data and AI. In efforts to support the development of generative AI, SDAIA initiated the creation of the Center of Excellence for Generative AI and introduced the Generative AI Accelerator (GAIA).
