United States of America: Introduced Act relative to cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (S 2539) including cybersecurity regulation

On 28 December 2023, an Act concerning cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (S 2539) was introduced to the Senate of Massachusetts. The Act aims to modify section 7D of the general laws by incorporating various new sections pertaining to cybersecurity in connection with artificial intelligence. Notably, the Act proposes the implementation of statewide cybersecurity training, the introduction of several definitions, including "cybersecurity incident" and "critical infrastructure," and the establishment of a cybersecurity control board and a Cyber Incident Response Team.
