On 20 September 2021, the UK Trade Secretary unveiled a five-point plan for digital trade. THe plan aims to adress trade barriers with a focus on five areas: open digital markets, free data flows, enhanced consumer and business safeguards, improved digital trading systems and increased international cooperation and global governance.
