On 29 December 2023, the State Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) announced the closure of an investigation into Tiantian Jili APP for alleged violation of the Cybersecurity Law and Regulations on the Governance of the Online Information Content Ecosystem. The app provided paid fortune-telling and divination services, promoting feudal superstition. The Tiantian Jili APP was ordered to take the Fortune Teller section offline and definitively close it after properly handling user refunds.
