On 22 December 2023, the National Office for Cyber and Information Security (NÚKIB) introduced the draft Cyber Security Act to the legislative council of the government in Czechia. The draft law aims to strengthen cybersecurity, introduce new processes and tools, and make cybersecurity legislation more transparent. It incorporates the NIS2 Directive from the European Union, expanding the number of regulated entities to over 6'000. Additionally, the draft includes a supply chain security vetting mechanism to increase the security of the supply chains of the State's strategic infrastructure in the field of information and communication technologies.
