Opened consultation on draft Measures for the Administration of Online Games including measures related to unilateral conduct regulation

On 22 December 2023, the National Press and Publication Administration (NPPA) published the draft Measures for the Administration of Online Games including measures related to unilateral conduct regulation and opened a public consultation until 22 January 2024. The draft measures prohibit online game publishing business units from engaging in monopolistic or unfair competition practices that disrupt fair market competition. The measures require business units to follow the principles of fairness and impartiality in online game publishing and enter into service agreements with users, clearly outlining rights and obligations related to service rules, user rights and interests protection, and personal information protection.
