European Union: Adopted additional export bans on software providers in 12th EU Sanctions package against Russia

On 18 December 2023, the Council of the European Union adopted the 12th package of sanctions against Russia. The 12th sanctions package contains export bans on business and design-related software. This includes programs such as computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), building information modelling (BIM) and engineer-to-order (ETO) and components needed.
