United Kingdom: Closed consultation on draft Resilience Guidance for Communications Providers including cybersecurity provisions

On 1 March 2024, the UK Office of Communications (Ofcom) closed its consultation on the draft guidance for communications providers on resilience related security duties. The guidance identifies technology, physical and cybersecurity vulnerabilities faced by communications providers such as malicious attacks and hacking. In particular, the guidance outlines infrastructure requirements for communications providers to remain independent, reduce cybersecurity threats, and maintain the availability and reliability of their services.
