Signed Singapore-Australia Memorandum of Understanding concerning personal data protection

On 1 December 2023, Singapore's Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) and Australia's Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) renewed their Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in personal data protection. The MOU encompasses the ongoing exchange of experiences and best practices in data protection. Additionally, the parties commit to sharing information and providing mutual assistance in cross-border personal data incidents that violate their respective data protection laws.
