Vietnam: Consultation opened on Draft Decree on Cybersecurity Administrative Sanction including takedown requirement

On 20 September 2021 the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam opened the public consultation for the draft decree on cybersecurity administrative sanction. Among others the draft provides with provisions to fine companies, which fail to implement preventive measures in order to avoid cyberincidents within 24 hours of the request of the competent authorities that information is not shared or deleted. A fine between VND 60,000,000 and VND 80,000,000 can be imposed. Public comments and opinions can be submitted until 18 November 2021.
