On 22 November 2023, the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) released guidelines regarding the placement of advertising identifiers. These recommendations are designed to assist industry participants in meeting the obligations outlined in Article 18.1 of the Law on the Registration of Online Advertising. According to the published guidelines, market participants are obligated to disclose specific information. As of 1 September 2023, penalties have been imposed for the absence of online advertising labelling and the failure to furnish requisite information.
