Announced UOKiK charges against Best-Review concerning false online reviews

On 14 November 2023, the Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) announced it had brought charges against Best-Review for allegedly selling false online reviews in violation of the EU Omnibus Directive. Best-Review allegedly sold reviews without testing the products or verifying the identity of the entities placing the orders. Furthermore, they allegedly sometimes created the reviews themselves. Best-Review could face a fine of up to 10% of its annual turnover.
