Published National Spectrum Strategy

On 13 November 2023, the Biden-Harris Administration adopted the National Spectrum Strategy. The Strategy outlines measures to be adopted to address the growing demand for spectrum access and the need to modernise spectrum policy in the US. The Strategy consists of four pillars for ensuring leadership in advanced technologies, including collaborative long-term planning, fostering spectrum innovation through technology development and enhancing spectrum expertise and national awareness. Additionally, the Strategy stresses the importance of establishing a national framework for collaboration on spectrum policy to address challenges and ensure efficient spectrum use. The Strategy specifies that the study for determining potential uses will be conducted on identified 2,786 megahertz of spectrum across five spectrum bands.
