Release of guidance on the international transfer of data

On 26 August 2021, the UK Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) released a guidance on its approach to international data transfers. Specifically, the UK wants to reach new adequacy agreements through the usage of guided manual templates. Adequacy agreements are reached when the other country offers a sufficient and adequate level of data protection. The DCMS will further publish current adequacy decisions and priorities for adequacy decisions.
