Judgement that Netflix et al. do not provide "video services"

The United States District Court for the District of Nevada ruled the case City of Reno, Nevada v. Netflix, Inc. et al. (case no. 3:20-cv-00499-MMD-WGC). While the city of Reno had claimed that the defendants had failed to pay franchise fees to cities and counties, an obligation set in Assembly Bill 526 "Video Service Law", the court granted the motions of the defendants to dismiss the case, as it found that they do not provide "video services" and are thus not obliged to pay the fees.
