On 10 November 2023, the UK Science, Innovation and Technology Committee closed its public consultation on the cyber resilience of the UK’s critical national infrastructure (CNI). The consultation focuses on evaluating the types and sources of cyber threats to CNI that are crucial for the UK's digital economy, such as communications, energy, government, and finance. In addition, it assesses the effectiveness of the UK Government's cyber strategies, the leadership provided by various entities, relationships with private-sector operators and regulators, interventions needed to achieve cyber resilience targets by 2025, and the role of 'secure by design' and emerging technologies in enhancing cyber resilience.
