Closed consultation on draft cybersecurity regulations for the electricity sector

On 17 November 2023, the European Commission closed its consultation on the draft for cybersecurity regulations regarding the electricity sector under Regulation (EU) 2019/934. The Regulation aims to establish a cross-border risk management process, clearly defining roles and responsibilities, enabling information flow for cybersecurity, and establishing rules for protecting the exchange of information. Furthermore, the Commission proposes to create regulations for crisis management and incident handling, in addition to a framework for monitoring and reporting.
