Announced Senacon investigation into 123 Miles platform over alleged violations of consumer regulation

On 19 October 2023, Brazil's National Consumer Secretariat (Senacon) opened an investigation into 123 Miles, one of the main travel platforms in the country, for allegedly violating consumer rights regarding purchased travel packages. Senacon states that it received several complaints from consumers about problems when cancelling trips, lack of service from the company, and purchases of promotional flights. 123 Miles allegedly imposes vouchers as a way of returning paid travel expenses therefore depriving customers of possible choices provided for by law and violating consumer protection regulations. Senacon has given 123 Miles 20 days to respond to the allegations.
