Closed Consultation on International Draft Guiding Principles for Organisations Developing Advanced AI Systems

On 5 November 2023, the Science and Technology Innovation Promotion Office of the Cabinet Office of the Government of Japan closed its public consultation on the International Draft Guiding Principles for Organisations Developing Advanced AI Systems. After the international launch of the G7 Hiroshima AI Process regarding AI governance, the Japanese government is seeking opinions on forming international rules, guidelines and codes of conduct in connection with risks posed by AI. The draft document sets out several principles intended to guide AI actors involved in designing, developing, and using advanced AI systems. Principles include transparency, development of governance policies and technical standards, and implementation of security controls, content authentication controls, and data input controls.
