Issued ruling in civil lawsuit against MyHeritage for breach of personal data protection
On 19 October 2023, the Moscow Tagansky District Court announced it had issued its ruling in the case against the online genealogy platform MyHeritage Ltd. The Court found that MyHeritage Ltd violated legislation in the field of personal data (part 9 of article 13.11 of the Russian Federation Code on Administrative Offences). The company was fined with RUB 6'000'000.
