Brazil: Closed public consultation in inquiry into use of digital devices by children and adolescents

On 23 November 2023, the public consultation closed on the inquiry initiated by the Ministries of Health, Education, Justice and Public Security, Human Rights and Citizenship and Development and Social Assistance of Brazil on strategies for the mindful use of screens and digital devices by children and adolescents. The information gathered will be used as the foundation for creating an Official Guide on the use of digital devices by children and adolescents. The Guide aims to differentiate between the different digital devices, applications and platforms displaying entertainment content and outline suggestions for platforms on enforcing terms of use which prohibit the creation of child profiles.
