Philippines: Announced draft data residency executive order in the Philippines

On 20 September 2023, the draft executive order introducing a new data localisation regime for the Philippines was released. The order would mandate data localisation for cloud service providers and other intermediaries providing cloud computing services for the Philippine government, as well as to private entities processing confidential or sensitive personal information.
