Adopted EU Commission template for the request for a specification process for designated gatekeepers under Article 8(3) of DMA
On 9 October 2023, the European Commission adopted the template for the request for a specification process for designated gatekeepers under Article 8(3) of the Digital Markets Act (DMA). The gatekeeper can request the Commission to evaluate whether the measures implemented comply with articles 6 and 7 of the Digital Markets Act (DMA). The gatekeeper has to provide a detailed explanation of the measures implemented when requesting a specification process.
