United States of America: Launched Updated Semiconductor Alert Mechanism

On 2 October 2023, the US Department of Commerce announced it had launched an updated version of the "Semiconductor Alert Mechanism" aiming to combat and mitigate potential impacts on the global semiconductor supply chain and secure national supply chains. In the context of this Mechanism, the Department asks companies, manufacturers, and other interested parties to inform the Department about new, ongoing, or potential disruptions in semiconductor manufacturing facilities and supply chains.
