China: Launched Qinglang Life Service Platform Information Content Rectification

On 28 September 2023, the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) announced the launch of the operation of Qinglang Life Service Platform Information Content Rectification. The CAC states that it will focus on online platforms, such as e-commerce, dating applications, search engines, film and television reviews and map navigation, to determine the platforms' responsibilities and issue guidelines on how they develop their content management system to address illegal content. During the action, the CAC stated that it would investigate illegal accounts and platforms, block the channels for spreading illegal and harmful content and develop account information management and community rules.
