On 27 September 2023, the Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC) opened a consultation on the Personal Information Protection Act and Enforcement Decree Amendment Guide until 30 November 2023. The guide aims to clarify the amended Personal Information Protection Act’s obligations that will enter into force on 15 September 2024. The guide outlines the requirements regarding the collection, including new conditions for obtaining consent, use, and granting access. The final guide is set to be published in December 2023.
