Description

Recognition of standard contractual clauses for the transfer of personal data to third countries

The new EU standard contractual clauses, which were adopted by the EC on 4 June 2021, are recognised as sufficient guarantees for the transfer of personal data to third countries without a sufficient data protection level by the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner if correctly adapted to use under Swiss data protection law. Previously recognised SCCs can still be included until 27 September 2021 and can be used until 31 December 2022.
