Issued ACMA request to ISPs to block illegal gambling websites
On 20 September 2023, the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) issued a request for Australian internet service providers (ISPs) to block five websites found to be operating in breach of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001. In particular, the ACMA requested to block Viperspin, Just Casino, Betandplay, Play Fina and Comic Play Casino.
