Adopted Attorney General Designation of UK as "qualifying state" for the redress mechanism under Executive Order 14086

On 18 September 2023, the Attorney General designated the United Kingdom (UK) as a "qualifying state" for the redress mechanism pursuant to Executive Order 14086. The designation as a "qualifying state" applies on the date the UK implements the data bridge for the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Under the redress mechanism, individuals can obtain a review and redress if their personal information was collected and processed in violation of US law and their data privacy rights were violated.
