Russia: Drafted Amendments to the criteria for the evaluation of materials and information containing information on the distribution of prohibited content

On 18 September 2023, the Russia Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) published a draft order including amendments to the criteria for evaluating illegal materials and information containing information on the distribution of prohibited content. Information describing actions allowing access to blocked resources or encouraging these actions will be included in the "Unified Register of Domain Names", and access to it will be blocked. If adopted, the order would come into force on 1 March 2024.
