Closed consultation on the Amendments to the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation regarding copyright infringement

On 2 October 2023, the public consultation on the Bill aimed at revising the criteria for liability in cases related to copyright infringement, published by the Ministry of Justice, ended. This proposed legislation also introduces changes to Article 146 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, addressing violations of copyright and related rights, as well as Article 165, which deals with property damage resulting from deception or abuse of trust.
