China: Published CAC Guiding Opinions on Further Strengthening the Reporting of Internet Infringement Information

On 15 September 2023, the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) published the “Guiding Opinions on Further Strengthening the Reporting of Internet Infringement Information”. In particular, the document provides guidance for organisations on how to handle reports from individuals regarding breaches of online personal information regulations, including reports on information leakage. In addition, the document recommends that organisations establish an online complaint system for individuals and strengthen their internal reporting policies.
