China: Published Zheijang Province list of 18 APPs violating users' rights

On 21 June 2023, the Zheijang Communications Administration published a list of 18 APPs in breach of users' rights and interests under the Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL). In particular, 18 apps from Baidu Mobile Assistant, and Huawei AppGallery, among others, have failed to implement the required measures by the authorities on data collection and use. Developers and operators have been notified and may be subjected to delisting, closure, or administrative penalties.
