Opened consultation on draft standard on Information Security Technology Critical Data Processing Security Requirements

On 25 August 2023, the Chinese National Information Security Standardization Technical Committee (TC260) opened, until 24 October 2023, a public consultation on its draft standard on Information Security Technology Critical Data Processing Security Requirements. The draft sets out security requirements for the processing of "important data", which is a classification under the country's tiered cybersecurity system. Specifically, the standard sets out cybersecurity requirements, requirements around access to important data, and standards for responsible personnel.
