Issued Australia declaration on accession to the Global Cross-Border Privacy Rules Forum

On 17 August 2022, the Australia Trade and Tourism Minister issued a statement announcing that Australia has joined the Global Cross-Border Privacy Rules Forum (CBPR), an initiative promoting the secure international flow of data by establishing certification for adherence to data privacy standards. The Global CBPR Forum expands upon the APEC CBPR and is open to non-APEC members as well.
