Slovakia: Ratified Council of Europe Convention No. 108 on Data Protection (CETS 223 Protocol)

On 15 June 2023, Slovakia ratified the amending protocol to the Convention for the Protection of Individuals with regard to the Processing of Personal Data (CETS 223). Slovakia is the 25th country to ratify the updated version. The CETS 223 is a legally binding agreement aimed at harmonising and aligning regulations related to personal data processing. The Convention aims to ensure robust protection for individuals' privacy. To come into effect, 13 more countries need to ratify CETS 223.
