On 19 August 2023, the Outcome Document and Chair’s Summary of the G20 Digital Economy Ministers Meeting 2023 were released. The meeting led to a consensus on shaping the digital public infrastructure (DPI) as a means to accelerate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). DPI, defined as secure, interoperable digital systems based on open standards, aims to offer accessible services with governance and community engagement at its core. Guiding principles were adopted, highlighting public benefit, trust, and transparency. The G20 India Presidency and UNDP launched two DPI knowledge products, the DPI SDG Compendium, outlining DPI's impact on all 17 SDGs, and the DPI Playbook, assisting countries in constructing inclusive DPI frameworks.
