Turkiye: Issued ruling in investigation into Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, and SVS

On 3 August 2023, the Turkish Competition Authority issued its ruling in the investigation into Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, and SVS's authorised dealers for interfering with resale prices. It was found that they abused their dominant market position by violating Article 4 of Law No. 4054 on the Protection of Competition and therefore were fined based on the annual gross income of 2021. Samsung Electronics Istanbul Marketing and Trading Limited Company were fined approx. TRY 227.1 million, VS Durable Consumer Goods Marketing and Trading Limited Company approx. TRY 1.9 million, and LG Electronics Trading approx. TRY 33.8 million.
