France: Launch of inquiry into "FinTech" sector by Autorité de la Concurrence including consultation

On 13 January 2020, the Autorité de la Concurrence launched an investigation regarding the competitive situation in the "FinTech" sector with the main focus put on the use of new technologies in the digital payment sector. On the same day, a consultation period was opened, which will be closed on 19 June 2020. The consultation will try and determine the relevant market, as well as changes that have taken place and business strategies being applied in the sector.
