Introduction of PLP 241/2020

Bill 241/2020 was introduced to the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies. The Bill introduces a tax rate of 3% on the revenue generated in Brazil with streaming, downloading, online games, apps, software, and platforms for interaction. A tax rate of 10% would apply to online betting platforms. For a business to be subject is must not have an establishment in Brazil but exceed a global threshold of BRL 100 million in the previous year. The Bill would enter into force on the day of publication and would be implemented 90 days later.
