Adopted Regulation 17/PMK.010/2018 Amending Goods Classification System and Imposition of Import Tariffs

On 15 February 2018, the Indonesian Minister of Finance adopted Regulation 17/PMK.010/2018 Amending Goods Classification System and Imposition of Import Tariffs, which updates the classificatory system for customs tariffs. Specifically, the Regulation adds a new chapter titled 'Software and Other Digital Goods', divided into the categories operating system software, application software, multimedia, supporting or driver data, and other software and digital product. Such goods are subject to an import duty of 0%. The Regulation becomes effective 14 days after adoption, on 1 March 2018.
