Indonesia: Announced Investigation into Tokopedia data leaks

On 6 August 2020, Indonesia's Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo) announced that it was investigating an alleged leak of user data of up to 15 million users from e-commerce platform Tokopedia. Kominfo reported that it had instructed Tokopedia to take a number of measures, including securing its systems, notifying all acount owners, conducting an internal investigation, and providing explanations to Kominfo.
