Indonesia: Issued rectification deadline in Data protection investigation into 11 applications

On 26 April 2022, Indonesia's Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo) issued a rectification deadline as part of an investigation into 11 applications potentially misusing personal data or violating applicable regulations. Kominfo has given the applications in question three days to bring their services into compliance with data protection regulations and remove problematic features. Applications that are not in compliance after three days will be blocked.
