Announced Kominfo Blocking of Messenger Accounts related to Prostitution

On 22 March 2021, Indonesia's Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo) announced regulatory action against messaging app users for alleged prostitution. According to Kominfo, it had ordered MiChat, a messenger service, to close user accounts of users who had used the service to carry out online prostitution.
