Announced Kominfo Blocking of Covid-19 related Misinformation

On 8 June 2022, Indonesia's Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo) announced regulatory action against online misinformation related to the Covid-19 pandemic. According to Kominfo, in the period between 6 May 2022 and 8 June 2022, it had blocked access to 5'772 instances of Covid-19 misinformation, with several hundred cases being referred to law enforcement.
