Indonesia: Implemented Government Regulation 71/2019 regulating content moderation

On 4 October 2019, the Government of Indonesia issues and implements Government Regulation 71 (GR 71/2019). The Regulation revokes GR 82/2012 and introduces a classification of Electronic System Providers (ESP) into Public and Private. All ESPs are responsible for ensuring that their systems do not contain or facilitate the distribution of prohibited content.
