Argentina: Implemented Decree 293/2022, establishing the tax rates on online betting according to Law 27346

On 2 June 2022, Decree 293/2022, establishing the tax rates on online betting according to Law 27346, entered into force following its publishing in the Official Bulletin. In particular, the Decree establishes a 5% tax rate on online gambling and a rate of 2.5% if the entity is registered in Argentina and holds a licence and has investments of more than ARS 200 million and more than 20 registered employees in 2021 or more than 30 employees from 2 June 2022. The entities offering online gambling that were required to register and failed to comply will be subject to a 7.5% tax rate.
