Argentina: Introduced Bill 0509-D-2019 establishing the Federal Council of Artificial Intelligence

On 12 March 2019, Bill 0509-D-2019, establishing the Federal Council of Artificial Intelligence, was introduced in the Chamber of Deputies of Argentina. The Bill would create a new agency to promote the study, awareness, and research related to Artificial Intelligence (AI). In particular, the Council would be required to issue guidelines regarding best practices, promote transparency of new technologies such as AI, and recommend standards related to AI.
