Introduced Bill 2505-D-2023 establishing a Legal framework for the Regulation of the development and use of AI including registration of AI systems requirement

On 8 June 2023, Bill 2505-D-2023 establishing a Legal framework for the Regulation of the development and use of artificial intelligence (AI), was introduced in the Chamber of Deputies of Argentina. The Bill would require developers of AI systems to register their systems in a public registry and provide technical characteristics, including purpose and objectives, design and operation and techniques and algorithms used. Furthermore, the providers would be required to provide information on the personal data they process, their origin, and the transparency, accountability and security measures implemented.
